Working in the UK

We will advise you in selecting the correct category and ensure you have provided the specified evidence for submission to the Home Office.

The Skilled Worker route is for employers to recruit people to work in the UK, including in UK waters, in a specific job. A Skilled Worker must have a job offer in an eligible skilled occupation from a Home Office-approved sponsor.

Requirements for entry clearance:
To qualify for entry clearance as a Skilled Worker you must have a job offer from a company that holds a Sponsor Licence for such purpose. In most cases the minimum salary requirement is now £41700. There are however, a number of exceptions to this, for example certain workers in the healthcare sector.

The Skilled Worker category is notoriously complicated and takes experience to navigate. Dependant spouses and children may also apply. This route leads to settlement (Indefinite Leave to Remain) and ultimately British citizenship.
