Visiting the UK
UKIVC can assist in making the correct application for you and your family.
There are many rules relating to visitors to the UK and it is vital that you know under which rule you are applying. A few examples are a general visitor (tourist), a child visitor, business visitor, sports visitor, entertainer visitor, a visitor in transit, a visitor for private medical treatment or as a visitor for marriage (fiancée visa).
The following is an extract from the Immigration Rules relating to visiting the UK:
“A person seeking leave to enter to the United Kingdom as a general visitor may be admitted for a period not exceeding 6 months, or not exceeding 12 months in the case of a person accompanying an academic visitor (as their child, spouse or partner), subject to a condition prohibiting employment and recourse to public funds, provided the Immigration Officer is satisfied that each of the requirements of paragraph 41 is met.”
